Privacy Policy

Last updated August 24, 2026

This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

The short version

We collect what we need to take your order, ship and support your appliance, run the meal plan, and make the product work. We do not sell your personal information. Your kitchen camera data gets specific treatment, described below.

Information you give us

  • Account details: name, email, password.

  • Order details: delivery and billing address, phone number, what you ordered.

  • Payment details: processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation and limited card metadata such as the last four digits — we do not store full card numbers.

  • Support correspondence and anything you choose to send us.

  • Dietary preferences and goals, if you provide them for meal planning.

Information from the appliance

Swish includes an overhead camera and sensors used to run and adjust a cook.

  • Camera data is used to control cooking in real time — to watch the pan and adjust heat, stir, and timing.

  • Cook telemetry: temperatures, timings, programme selected, errors, firmware version, pod identifiers.

  • Where camera images or clips leave the appliance, we tell you and it is tied to a feature you have turned on.

[REVIEW] This section must state precisely what leaves the device, whether images are stored, for how long, and whether a human can ever view them. Confirm the engineering answer and write it here exactly — this is the single most sensitive disclosure on the site.

Information from the app and website

Device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from IP, in-app actions, and crash diagnostics.

How we use information

  • Take, fulfil, and support orders and subscriptions.

  • Operate the appliance’s features and deliver firmware and app updates.

  • Provide customer support and handle warranty and returns.

  • Keep the services secure, detect and prevent fraud and abuse.

  • Improve the product, including reliability and cooking quality.

  • Send service messages. Marketing email only where you have opted in, with an unsubscribe link in every message.

  • Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

SwishAI and product improvement

We use cook data to improve cooking performance and our models.

[REVIEW] State whether customer data trains models, whether it is de-identified first, and provide a genuine opt-out. If training on customer content, this needs to be prominent and specific.

When we share information

  • Service providers acting on our instructions: payment processing, delivery and logistics, cloud hosting, customer support tooling, analytics.

  • Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it or to protect rights and safety.

  • A buyer or successor if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — we will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

[REVIEW] Confirm this against every analytics and advertising tag actually deployed. Some ad tags count as a “sale” or “share” under California law.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and afterwards only where we must for legal, tax, warranty, or dispute-resolution reasons. Then we delete or de-identify it.

[REVIEW] Set concrete retention periods per data type, especially camera data.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Exercise any of these by emailing info@swishrobotics.com. We will not treat you differently for exercising a right.

California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing. You may use an authorised agent.

[REVIEW] Add a verification process, a response-time commitment, and an appeals route. If you serve the EEA or UK, add a lawful-basis table, transfer mechanism, and a controller contact.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser.

[REVIEW] If any non-essential cookies are used, a consent banner is required in several jurisdictions.

Children

The services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact info@swishrobotics.com and we will delete it.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and information may be processed there and in other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws.

[REVIEW] If serving the EEA or UK, name the transfer safeguard relied upon.

Changes

We will post any updated policy on this page and change the date above. Material changes will be notified before they take effect.
